If you missed Delbert Richardson's cross-country bike ride in 2001, you may have another chance to catch him on the road again soon. He is planning another trip in 2004 and will be testing out his new vehicles during MS 150 rides in 2003.
Delbert has been hard at work developing models for the new trike. The new vehicle will have a cooling system and electric motor to help out with the hills and periods of fatigue. The prototypes also show a more aerodynamic design with enclosed wheelwells and a fully enclosed trike shell, eliminating the need for a trailer.
He hopes the new trike will allow him to plan a longer trip so he can visit as many as 48 states and cover 14,000 miles. Stay tuned for more updates on Delbert's plans for Cross Country 2004!
