Champion Vance High used his grant to organize an MS Swimathon to raise funds for MS research. The event took place Saturday, Oct. 27, 2001 at Crow Pool in Charlottesville, VA from 6:00 am — 6:00 pm. All proceeds benefited the National MS Society. Swimmers obtained pledges for every lap they swim during that day.
