Karen Henry
Brandon, FL

After her MS diagnosis, Karen discovered that doing range of motion and stretching exercises in the water helped to lessen muscle spasms and improve her gait, balance and fatigue. To share this benefit with others with MS, Karen organized a special pool therapy program at the Brandon Family YMCA. Her grant will cover costs for twice-weekly classes for one year for her MS community.
Photos from the pool therapy class Karen started can be viewed here. Interested in joining? Email or call us at (202) 363-3378.
